I am choosing the lavender ribbon, Nancy because I have lost so many close people to a myriad of cancers. I totally support the Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital for all of their cancer research and I applaud you for all of your efforts.

Hi Nancy, What a great event in your town! yes, I've also had cancers in my life, My father died of Lung Cancer when I was turing 13, and my father-in-law died of Kidney Cancer.

What a wonderful deed, Nancy. My thoughts go out to my dad who died from lung cancer 21 years ago...however, Praise the Lord, my pal Patty is almost a 20 year breast cancer survivor.

What a wonderful post. I have not lost anyone close to me from cancer, but I know it must be devastating for someone to have to go through something like that. Happy Pink Saturday!
