The Boob Fairy

As I said in my last post the past few weeks have been all about fairies. Now Boo La La's cousin - The Boob Fairy shows up! She even had a song written about her. Le fee de Buste! The Boob FairyAnd I started wondering - did she stop by your house??? She never came for Skipper........
And just made a quick visit to Demure Barbie but Barbie complained and wished so.....She made a return visit at which point Barbie got a bit slutty!

She came for Marilyn
And a bunch of times for Dolly.
Poor Gwyneth - she missed her completely.
Look at that shameless Easter Bunny trying to get a free ride via the Boob Fairy.
Well she stopped by my house and after I had kids she came BACK! And brought her friend the Butt Nymph! I even had to retire the C cup! After that I was forced to move so she couldn't find me anymore!!!!

So what about you guys...errr gals. Did you get a visit? Your secret is safe with me so please share it right here!!! Then head over to Beverly's place for a Pink Saturday tour! HUGS! Nancy

PS - Both are available in my store!

Halloween Swaps

In Blogland and Swapville Halloween is definitely here. I've been working on these projects for a couple of weeks now. Fairies figure prominently for me this year. Here's a look at a new little "French" Halloween fairy who will just enchant you.....Boo La La! The Magic French Fairy!
Boo La La will be available in my store!
There's a couple of little fairies hiding behind the two fairy doors for that swap and my Haunted House project for Artsy Mama's Sweet and Sinister Swap somehow turned into a Candy Shop! Don't be fooled...it may look sweet but it is indeed sinister.See the little ghost running for his life! Get too close and you'll be trapped inside and turned into a giant skeleton or worse yet a FRog!!!!It's just a Magical place where the fairies live and I'll show you some more fairies on Pink Saturday.
Do not miss the FAiry I'm going to show you then...I'm sure you like me have been visited by her!
See you on Pink Saturday!!!!

This LITTTLE Piggy

Several of you asked for pictures of the little piggy with a penny. So here he is and he really does hold just one penny! Not a quarter or a nickel just a penny. I suppose he could hold a dime but it might upset his little bitty tummy!
Oink and bye from the piggy and I! Nancy

Through the Looking Glass

Pink cherubs grace this vintage mirror...which reflects my print of Texas wildflowers. Here it is up close. We have lots of pink wildflowers in the great state of Texas. Bluebonnets, beautiful as they are, become even more spectacular when they are set off by tiny pink buttercups.
Beyond this is a little cabinet that holds....
a little pink piggy...who is just big enough
to hold exactly one penny!
Thanks for stopping by today. You guys are my best friends. See you next time.
Thank you, Beverly for hosting Pink Saturday.

Swaps

Swapper's Anonymous
I need some help - honestly. I can't seem to control my swap/ibb urges. I was delighted to do this itty bitty book and was almost waiting in a Flickr line to sign up.
Then along came Marie and I just knew I'd regret it if I didn't join in. Plus I brushed up on my French history. (Watching the dvd Marie Antoinette counts doesn't it???)
In the meantime I wouldn't have missed this for anything. Sooo creative and the tutorials for the group are just wonderful. Really I should have stopped here. Then today I saw this and it's waaaay off. Is my name Nancy Scrooge? Nuuuu. No way did I want to miss this.
And tomorrow is the last day for this one which I absolutely was not going to do. Geez, though. Wouldn't it be selfish of me to not do my part for such a good cause. So tonight I ......well you know.
Then I remembered this! I don't know what possessed me. I really don't remember signing up for this - I'm not much of a Fairy person. I think maybe I did it in my sleep.
This is going in the mail tomorrow or Monday - the Halloween tussie mussie swap.
And my husband is asking questions now..."At least if you're going to do a page for a book why don't you make it big?" Well, because it's called the Itty Bitty Book club - Not the Big OLE Giant Book club! Sheesh - husbands - they just don't get it! Sooooo, if you have a swap problem like me or better yet if you are Worse than me Puhlease leave a message so when my husband noses around my blog he'll think " why she's not so bad after all"!!!!!!

The Nester's Mistreatment Party

I'm sure you guys are in a big hurry so I'll jump right in! Here are two windows in my kitchen that I mistreat on a regular basis. It's an old petticoat (that I blogged about here) and huge Pottery Barn Napkins from Goodwill!
When Christmas rolls around this is how I do a Holiday Mistreatment! Overlook the messy table - I never expected to be putting these pics on a blog! These are the most adorable Snowman Days of The Week towels. In this picture you can see in the mirror that heavier curtain to your right is a....matelasse bedspread that is hung on rings over the wall. I did that so it would look like the bed was centered over a large window instead of a single one. That lamp got a mini mistreatment with lace and a vintage pin.
Here's another one I mistreated. NOT!!! (He just thinks he is!) Now for real.......This was mistreated with an old quilt top and..a vintage crocheted runner. I really didn't like it so I bought some lace panels at a garage sale for $2.00 to use as a table covering and Guess What?? they worked perfectly...on the same window! I love the light airy look it gives this little attic room. Now who would have ever dreamed of using a real curtain on a window???Hmmm. Since it was a curtain to be used as a tablecloth and then used on a window it should qualify as a.....Mistreatment......don't you agree???
Thanks Nester for "opening the window" to all this blog fun today! And thank you for stopping by my humble little blog. YNancy

Pink Saturday Aug 16th

I hope you're having a wonderful Pink Saturday. For some reason this week I was a bit stuck on what to share. Then I remembered this absolutely beautiful little pink sweater that was given to me by my aunt. The yarn is so soft it almost feels like feathers! And she knit it for me over forty years ago - before I ever thought of having kids. She sent it to me before I had my oldest son! (That was when you found out what you were having when the baby was actually born! How archaic!!)

Along with these sweet little pink booties and a little bonnet! So I packed it away until I was expecting my second child.

Well when my younger son was born I packed it away and I thought for sure someday I'd have a daughter. Nope - never happened. So then I saved it for a grandchild but my first was a boy and a few years later another little boy! So every so often I get it out and look at it and wonder what it would have been like to have my very own daughter. And then I look to the future and see a little great granddaughter all dressed in pink!
I loved having a reason to get this out again. I always marvel at how tiny and perfect all the stitches are. Maybe her name will be Marie - like her aunt from four generations earlier.Don't get me wrong - it's been wonderful with all my boys. In fact, they are absolute jewels! I am curious however. Did you find out the sex of your baby before it was born? If you're too old like me would you have chosen to had it been available? I definitely would have. How about you?

Thanks to Beverly at How Sweet The Sound for having this pink party every Saturday. Hugs, Nancy
