Can you ever see too much of The Little Pink House in Waxahachie? I don't think so!
And it's so much fun to play around with digitally!
But that's not what I planned to share today for Pink Saturday. A couple of weeks ago on one of my rare trips to the grocery store…I found….these!
A little bouquet of pink peonies! I selected three with the tightest blooms possible! Took them home, put them in water and the next morning they had opened. They were so beautiful and perfect– they looked artificial.
They were breathtaking! And they lasted over a week. And finally… they died so gracefully…they didn't wither or turn brown – they just sort of shattered – petals just gracefully dropping when moved. Who knew $4.00 could bring such pleasure!?!
Another bit of pink prettiness I found costs nothing! Even better, right? It's Sissie's blog - Sissie's Shabby Cottage – it's soft and pretty and relaxing. You'll definitely be glad you found her!
I'm joining Beverly at How Sweet The Sound for Pink Saturday – a chance to visit old and new blog friends who come together to enjoy the color Pink!
xoxo Nancy
You're such an artist with words, Nancy!! I hope I can be compared to those splendid peonies of yours. I just hope I "gracefully drop" when my time comes! Of course, it is doubtful. . . I am not graceful and I am not quite....I'm certain the Loud Mouth in me will be there til the end!! :)
ReplyDeleteI never grow tired of looking at that amazing Pink House!! :)
Hope you've had a good day. L, dana
Nancy, these peonies are exquisite! I love peonies, though have never grown them. Finding them at the grocery would be the perfect way to enjoy them...I'll have to look for these. Thank you for sharing! ~ Angela
ReplyDeleteAs soon as you told me you had found peonies, I went immediately to our local HEB, but some other Pink peony lover had snatched them all up...I've looked again on my next visit...no luck. Do you know that I don't believe I've ever seen them in real life...only in pictures...and your pictures are the best! I'm so glad you found them and alerted me to the possibilities awaiting me next to the tomatoes and onions!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday.

Oh Nancy, they are my fav too. I have a little peony bush, and when they start to bud and open up, I CUT them, give them a little vinegar bath to get the aunts off, and place them everywhere in the house. My neighbours never see one single one lol
ReplyDeleteCute little pink house...looks like mine on the inside.
