Barb! Thank you so much for all your work putting our Rooster Party together. Over at her Bella Vista Blog you'll find a list of a whole bunch of…Rooster Collectors. Soooo…welcome to -
I thought we might as well have lunch in my kitchen – just a few of my roosters are invited – but all of you blogging chics are expected! (Gosh it looks like my curtain is falling down but it's a lampshade optical illusion!)
We'll use some large napkins and I've got table favors! A zipper pin and in the little cone? The scrabble letters of your name! One for you…..
and one for me!
Some old, old chippy salt and pepper shakers and one of my favorite vases for a centerpiece.
Are these just the most perfect chairs for our Rooster lunch? I want to paint them but can't decide what color? White? black? red? Any suggestions.
How about this for a seat cover – my favorite dish towel!
So glad that you stopped by and enjoy the rest of the Rooster Party. I'm going to have a cup of coffee and
work on my post for Pink Saturday tomorrow! I'll have my mostest favoritest Roosters of all so stop back by!
I'm also joining Claudia at Dipity Rd for Friday Finding Beauty.
Cindy of My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday.
Rooster collections must really be good. I personally like the table napkin. The color is really nice; it is almost like a true picture of a roster. I would like to have one soon.

Those chairs are fabulous! I think they'd be great black or white distressed. You'll have to show us them once you finish!

Visiting some of the other rooster party gals, I didn't see chairs anywhere and they will be so envious of you.
ReplyDeleteI'll go with a bold suggestion and say, paint them red!

Im going to have to break out my Rooster I have atop my cabinets!
ReplyDeleteThey are the best for looking over a kitchen I think.
Yours are so darling and I love your chairs...
I think they would look great painted white then sanded for the rustic look. They would pull the whites you have around your window casing and be a great complement to your kitchen.
Thanks for joining with us at Friday Finding Beauty.
Hugs.

Hi!
ReplyDeleteLove all your beautiful roosters. I have lots of them in my kitchen. Love the old and chipped salt and pepper shakers. Have a great day!

The rooster chairs and the rooster waiter were just the best!
ReplyDeleteLove those chairs!!!! I think paint them barn red. Please come visit me, I am a new blogger and participating in the rooster party too. Happy friday.

Oh how CUTE! I LOVE the Rooster butler figurine, the ceramic roosters, and the lovely rock roosters from the next post! DE-LIGHT-FUL to see and fun to visit. :) And I vote for red for the chairs - or leave them as is - love the wood shade. :)
ReplyDeleteYour rooster collection is quite unique!! I love the bloggin chicks rule!
ReplyDeleteRats!! With the CRASH of my faithful old PC and the purchasing of the new computer......I missed out on joining in the roostery fun this year! HOWEVER, you certainly provided more than your share of rooster greatness.....so I feel sorta like I was in the party! I LOVE those chairs!! I think they would look awesome in red! I have those same glasses....but in amber! When my hubs and I were first married, we received those glasses in green!! I sold them years later at a g.sale...but decided two years ago that style and the amber color would look great with some vintage wheat patterned dishes I had collected...so I bought them whenever I saw them dirt cheap at thrift stores!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with your sign!! I hope you had a ball at the party!!! Next year, we need to come up with rooster HATS to wear while blog hopping!!!

Your table napkins are just lovely, but I have to say the rooster with the bloggin chicks rule has stolen my heart for sure. He rules!!! Char
