Crea Loves Pink

Last April I meant to post this for Pink Saturday.  We took our granddaughter to see Disney on Ice… and then I lost the pics on my computer!  Now they're found and isn't this perfect for a gal who loves pink?

She had to have a pink snowcone.  (Hello??? What happened to a .99 snowcone or maybe a 3.00 snowcone?  Nope – they jumped right to twelve bucks!  Of course you get this little mug to take home and along with

this little buttercup hat!  A ripoff? Probably but a cute Pink ripoff!  I guess sometimes Pink is just worth it.

You know what amazed me?  Families with 4 and  5 kids – who got popcorn $5, snowcones $12, and cotton candy $7! For each kid.  Tickets on cheap night $15, Parking $10. , add in some toys and a few bottles of water or a drink and it's like close to $400 for the evening.  How do young families do that?  Oh well – they say money spent on experiences brings more happiness than on material things.  Do you guys with young families spend that much?  Just curious and maybe a bit tight!  xoxo Nancy

  2. Happy Pink Saturday Nancy Sweetie...
What a beautiful share. I have got to tell you, I too would have paid the $12.00 for the little mug and that hat is so precious. Pink fairies equipment for sure. How beautiful.

I have always wanted to go to see the stars on ice, but have never been. It looks so magical. (And PINK ofcourse.)

Thank you for sharing sweetie. I love this post. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  3. Of COURSE I would have shelled out 12.00 for the snowcone and hat.....that's just TOO adorable. I don't know how young folks with several kiddos afford it! I know it's pricey for grandparents to do that, too! We took our gr. girl to a butterfly festival last weekend...it cost us 18.00 to get in and 24.00 for the worst lunch ever served up! HOWEVER, we sure had a swell time....and we got many great photos. Sadly, we found out the gr. girl is afraid of the big Blue Morphos!! :)

You certainly got some wonderful pictures, too, grandma Nancy!! That little gal is too precious!! :)

Hope you have a great Pink Saturday.....guess what....it's POURING down rain right this minute. HoooRay!! We need it and we need the cooler temps that will come with it!!

  4. Happy Pink saturday! I do not have kids but have three nieces and a nephew, and we have gone to the movies and it is like phew! things are really expensive. I don't know how households with more kids do it.

  7. Nancy, the snow cone and hat were a bargain at $12.00 but it will just have to be her birthday present for the next two years...the pictures are just too cute...glad you "found" them.
As to prices these days...I agree 100% When I was a young bride in the olden days of yore, $12 was my weekly food budget! and we had red meat every night!
Have a pink week and stay out of the heat!

  9. Hi Nancy!
I'm so glad you found your photos! What a shame it would be to not have the images of such a special day!
Your grandaughter is ADORABLE!! The pricing situation reminds me of the credit card commercial that lists prices and would end with . . . Crea's Smile ~ PRICELESS :-)
    Happy Pink Saturday!!

  11. Happy Pink Saturday! When our girls were little we took them to quite a few ice shows and it was always a wonderful time! But yes... the cost is outrageous. We put a limit on what we bought once we got there. Twelve dollars for a snow cone?! holy cow, did they go to the arctic for the ice? Last weekend hubby and I went to the movie, tickets for 2, 2 med. drinks and a med. popcorn came to $40 and that was a matinee! I don't know how young families do it.
