A Cross of Flowers

I wanted to be sure and share this cross from my church with you. Every year we put up a wire cross and anyone who wants brings a little bouquet of fresh flowers to tuck into it and the end result is this wonderful cross. It's one of my favorite Easter traditions. Do you have one to share?

  1. Oh Nancy! This is sooo beautiful, visually AND as a tradition you have each year! And with the song in the background, oh! it makes me cry! (in joy and happiness!)
I guess I don't have a current tradition.... but I do remember growing up, and each year my grandmother would make palm leave crosses to pass out to the entire church on Palm Sunday... then, my dad would put up the wooden cross he had made for the church, and she would drape a purple cloth, and a crown of thorns on it. Every year. I remember it like it was yesterday, and I will forever remember... Thanks for sharing such a wonderful tradition...
    Hugs,
    Shannon!

  2. I love this idea. I'm in charge of a ministry team that decorates the church. This would be great for next year....Tell me more about what the wire frame is like and how big is this? Does someone need to get it started and primp it or does is come together fairly well?
