I don’t have to go far to find beauty. This page may look like it’s in the great Northwestern U.S. but it’s right here in Central Texas….New Braunfels. I took this early morning on New Years Day and I don’t know who the fly fisherman is but whoever it is must be a hardy soul wading into the chilly waters that morning. Did you know besides oceans and rivers and mountains and deserts that Texas also offers fly fishing? I love Texas and God has blessed our state with abundant beauty.

Love this shot, New Braunfels is one of my favorite places. We are thinking of taking a "photo road trip" there next weekend if it warms up some. Have a great weekend and stay warm! Kathy
ReplyDeleteNancy, this was an interesting photo- I love the way the fisherman is centered between the trees in your shot. I love seeing the water, and I wish I was in Cali right now. I'd be a heck of a lot warmer, that's for sure. Isn't it fun to see everyone's different concepts of beauty?

Second, your home all decorated for Xmas was just wonderful. I spent a few minutes looking around. Your linens and your little attic space is so cozy. Love the Nativity Scene also. I have one from my childhood that is all nice and chippy also.
Now fly fishing is something my husband loves. It all started in Wyoming. Loved it there. Now were back home in Canada. Cold as heck.

I have always wanted to learn to fly fish. I have fished in some very cold weather (not right in the water though) and it can be so interesting and intense that you forget the elements...

Fabulous photo! My dad was an avid fisherman while he was alive-- he could spend the whole day fly fishing. Good memories.
