Facebook

Gosh – what did snowbound people do before facebook?

Last night we got an inch and one half of snow. Right here in Central Texas!!  (Did I hear a collective groan north of the Red River???)

I'm so busy nosing into everyone's business over there I haven't had time to do anything for Pink Saturday!

Yesterday I met a fellow Valleyite (Valleyite…person from the Rio Grande Valley of Texas)

through blogging – Ladybug Creek -  and found her on FB.  I'm "friends" with people from my old elementary school and junior high and high school.  Just talked to a "kid" who used to spend half his time at our house – he's been married for 16 years now!

And I've seen everyone's rare Texas snow pictures and their dogs!

And chitchatted with my blog buddy Dana of the Stone Rabbit.

And I wonder why I never get stuff finished!!!

  1. Happy Pink Saturday!! So, is your snow all melted away now? I would LOVE to send several tons of ours down your way so you could continue to enjoy it!! I wouldn't recommend making snow ice cream out of it, however, as it's been on the ground too long!! :)

I think you did very well with your Snowy Break!! You got LOTS of computery time in!! Oh, and I love that little Valentine creation! You'r too talented for words!

Just returned from exercise class. I was pretty crabby in it tonight....my back and shoulders still ache from all of the shoveling I did on Wednesday.

Have a FUN weekend....and be sure to take photos!

  3. Your post made me chuckle! Good thing you did not lose electricity or there would have been no facebook. Well, I guess you could have used your phone app.
Have fun with your snow! Such a rarity in TX! I'm a misplaced TX girl.
    Happy PS!

  4. Your time sounds like mine! We had a grey, wet day in Florida, and I am sitting here getting nothing done. Oh, I take that back, I went to Home Goods in the rain to get my fix for the week. ;-)

But I'm trying to come up with letters that don't have the letter 'a' in them because it keeps sticking. It's working right now, but it won't be in a minute. It's that kind of week so before it cuts out on me again let me wish you...

    PS blessings to you!

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  5. Happy Pink Saturday Sweetie...
A beautiful share today. You know I am feeling your pain. Out here in Phoenix we didn't get the snow, but let me tell you it is SO darn cold. We have spent the last 2 nights down in the 20s and not above 50 during the day. Now I will tell you it is not fun when one is so used to the heat of the desert. I keep asking who didn't pay the bill around here, because I want the heat turned back on. DO not like the cold.

Love visiting with Dana and Stone Rabbit. Such a treasure each Pink Saturday.

Have a beautiful weekend sweetie. Stay warm and hopefully we will see some warmer temps soon. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  8. I just love to visit your blog! So pretty!
I read the Clan of the Cave Bear and loved it. The second one had GOOD parts, but she kept inventing things until it got ridiculous! Like horseback riding? sheesh. I didn't read the next one. Guess I will now.
