Bless this house, oh Lord,we cry.
Please keep it cool in mid-July.
Bless the walls where termites dine,
While ants and roaches march in time.
Bless our yard where spiders pass Fire ant castles in the grass.
Bless the garage a home to please
Carpenter beetles, ticks and fleas.
Bless the love bugs, two by two,
the gnats and mosquitoes that feed on you.
Millions of creatures that fly or crawl, in TEXAS, Lord, you've put them all!!
But this is home, and here we'll stay,
So thank you Lord, for insect spray.
Who knew that there were PINK bugs!!!Thanks to Beverly who puts up with us bugging her each Saturday for PINK, PINK, PINK. Go bug her and the rest of the blogs showing pink!
Last week Beverly asked us to link to a blog we’d never visited before. I happened across this cute gal. She has seven kids under 9 who she home schools. They could be just like the Duggers if she had 40 jillion more kids!!! I’m in awe of anyone who can home school her kids all the while doing it in
So go visit her today!
xoxo Nancy
Love this post Nancy! We do have bugs, don't we? And they are bad this year, I suspect looking for water just like everyone else. Thanks for stopping by. Yep, blue hole and the river look pathetic right now, it's so sad. Our favorite place on Lake Travis (Johnny Finns) had to close for the first time in 30 years - it was a floating restaurant, but it's got nothing to float on right now! Glad you liked the dog park, but I agree that this heat is not fit for enjoying a day out. Never thought I'd be hoping for a Norther in August, but I am! Hugs, Kathy
ReplyDeleteLordy, girl, I didn't know they made those Texas bugs so PINK!!! Loved this post.....you are so clever!! We've had lots of rain. In fact we've had so much rain, the bugs try to get IN our house to get OUT of the rain.....not kidding. I just wished they were PINK!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
My computery problems were caused by a "weak signal" and it's all better now!

I hate to be a broken record, but it's cold and gloomy here today and it rained all day yesterday! Hoping that I can get outside a bit to check out my gardens☺ Pink Saturday is bringing a little much needed and very welcome color into my home today. Thanks so much for participating. It's always so nice to visit your blog and see what's going on.
