Pink Saturday

On the day I took these pictures I was doing laundry, ironing some things for The Roost, and looking for some blinged out things to photograph for the Shades of Inspiration group on Flickr (my fav group) and hoping they could do double duty for Pink Saturday. Looking across the room after I took this picture I realized that my "work space" is the perfect PS picture. My new ironing board cover is so pretty it almost makes me want to iron Almost! being the key word here because nothing, nada, zip is that pretty!

But sometimes I have to do it anyway and it's a lot more pleasant ironing on a pretty Pink Flowered cover than those gunmetal gray ones that are coated with super teflon or the one I just threw away that scooched all over the place!

Soooo if today happens to be your "ironing day" I hope it's a pink ironing day! Do you guys iron? Are you a rumpled mess or do you send it all to the drycleaners? I bet Beverly wears starched and ironed pink outfits all the time. Let's go ask her! Heck - let's ask all the pink blogs!

  1. Oh my yes I do iron and iron and iron. But the pink ironing board does make the job a little less boaring. I got my rose covered one at Home Goods. They had a great selection.
    Happy PS

  2. Yes I do iron every thing...I am not a wrinkle person except the face of course....and I dont think I'l try ironing that. It is true that a new and pretty iron board cover will put you more in the mood to iron then a old burnt one.

Do stop by when you get a chance to check out our contest going on right now...hope to se ya there.

  3. Yummy pinks! Where did you get your lovely ironing board cover. I used to have a lovely one similar to it but with a cream background, but I left it behind when we moved. I shouldn't have done it....sigh.

    Happy Pink Saturday!

  4. WHERE did you find that gorgeous ironing board cover? I must confess, I have the "gun metal, teflon coated number" on mine. Unfortunately, I have a small board that folds down from a wall cabinet---love that part--hate the small part. HOWEVER, I have a big ol' honker in my craft room and it could benefit from a perky number like yours!
Hope your PSat is the best and I am still crying from that sweet wedding slideshow!!!

  6. Who needs an iron when there's a dryer! LOL I do actually iron a lot because I use it when I'm sewing all the time. I need a pretty iron board cover like that though! Did you make it?
    Have a wonderful pink weekend!

  7. Nancy, with that ironing board cover, I might even enjoy ironing...which is not my favorite thing to do. I love when that happens and you spot a great photo opportunity. I am just glancing down at your mosaci of that wedding. How beautiful, that dress is stunning.

In the spirit of this season of giving, I have a gift for you today. I am giving away some art...because I BELIEVE. Please stop by and take your art home, or leave me your e-mail and I will send you the file. You can use the art for tags, cards, prints or in your creations for the Holidays.

    Happy Pink Saturday.

  8. Nancy, that ironing board cover is gorgeous, truly. I only iron what I absolutely have to, which is very little. :o)

  9. I hardly ever have to iron for myself - I like to wear knits and things that hang the wrinkles out.

But I often help my husband iron his pants for work. If I had a pretty ironing board cover like that it would make it so much easier!

    have a great pink Saturday!

  10. If I have to iron, then I do. I would love to have a pretty cover like that..specially on my small craft ironing board. Everything in my crafts is pressed..and I love doing that, however a sweet roses cover would be great. Happy Pink Saturday..xx

  14. That is a pretty ironing board cover...but it would take more than that to get me to iron...LOL...maybe if it had Johnny Depp on it, now then I would iron. LOL.

  15. Love the ironing board cover, it's so pretty. I like to iron, but rarely have the time, so I am a "throw it in the dryer for a few minutes" person. I do iron hubby's shirts most of the time.

    Happy Pink Saturday!

  18. What is this term "ironing"? Is this new? lol I iron maybe 4 times a year. I hang just about everything, and use Downey Wrinkle Releaser on everything else!! In other words, pretty much a wrinkled mess!!! ha ha ha

  19. Nancy, you're so funny! I'm a "grab it quick from the dryer" person so I can avoid ironing! Well I just have to say THANK YOU for the gorgeous vintage puppy hankie! I just got to the post office yesterday and it was there waiting for me! I will be doing an upcoming post about it where I'll show how it reminds me of my sweet Gizzy. Thank you SO very much! I guess Gizzy wanted me to win it ... Donna @ An Enchanted Cottage
