Pink Saturday Road Trip

Can seven Texas women take a road trip and drive 600 miles in 9 hours??? Probably... if we can coordinate our bathroom breaks! (Otherwise...hmmm 4 breaks per person x 7 = 28 x 5 min x 20 min looking for a clean bathroom = 4 days) No, no no ! Our tardy tour guide Barbara has our schedule down to a T! We're packing a fabulous gourmet picnic lunch and will stop at one of our lovely TxDot roadside parks so that's a big time saver.
Here we are all dressed for the trip. Are we not Glamorous??? We'll plan to take lots and lots of pics of anything pink we see along the way.

In the meantime...would anyone like to guess how many stops and hours it will take to reach Ruidoso?
Maybe we'll keep track and host a giveaway! Woo Hoo...lets hit the road!

xoxo Nancy

Head on over to Beverly's this Saturday...she's having a garage sale and hosting this pink party...to visit all the Pink blogs!

  1. Now Nancy, I need to handicap this. How many coffee drinkers, soda drinkers, and water drinkers are in the group. There is a direct drink type/bathroom ratio (I read that somewhere, but I choose to ignore the dire warning about coffee and road trips) I'm going to hazard a guess - 11 hours, 5 short stops. (oh, wait, will you have blinders on so you don't stop at all the cool junk shops you see - that will definitely up the time) Hope you all have a great trip and can't wait to see pictures. Hugs, Kathy

  2. Can I just steel Kathy's answer? That was pretty dog-gone good! LOL

Hope your trip is wonderful... I'm guessing with all the pee-breaks you're looking at about 13 hours and 20 minutes from launch to landing.

  3. Nancy, I don't think I will even guess or try to figure it out, I have taken several road trips with ladies and you can never predict what is going to happen down the road. I hope you all have a great trip and bring back pictures.

If any of these ladies have a blog and I am missing them on my list, please let me know.

  7. L♥ve your pink goodies this week. Just when I think I have enough pink in my life I participate in Pink Saturday and see even more sweet things I’d enjoy having in my home or flowers for my gardens or just to look at☺ What could be better than the color pink dancing in your head all morning?

Thanks so much for sharing. Hoping your weekend is filled with sunshine and the comfort of those you love and who love you.

  9. Happy Pink Saturday Char. Now listen I know they do everything BIG in Texas. So with you gals all together I am guessing at least 13 hours maybe and 10 minutes, I am not sure because everytime you all pass something pink you're gonna be hollering and pulling over sweetie, and getting in and out can be quite time consuming. And ofcourse when you get that many in one vehicle, you will have to stop at several places for breaks, because none of ya'll will be able to agree on what you want to drink or eat. I am sticking with the time I posted 13 hours 10 minutes. Have a wonderful time and we will be looking for the post trip pictures. Thanks for sharing. Please stop by and see my Pink Saturday post. I so love to share. Country hugs sugar, Sherry

  11. OMG....I would have loved to go on the road trip to New Mexico. What a blast you must be having! Bring along a camera for a remake of the movie THELMA and LOUISE.

  12. I think Kathy said it all! Personally, I wouldn't be able to pass a single antique store/junk shop, so if I were there, you might never reach New Mexico! Hope your trip is full of fun, antiques, and laughter.

  13. I wanna come WITH you girls. I can't think of much else that sounds as much fun!!! I know you will chronicle the event for the rest of us!!

When Bonnie, Marian and I took a little recent road trip, it took us 7 hours to travel 150 miles!! We made certain, we stopped at every little town along the way to search for antique shops and we DID have a great picnic lunch, too!

Have fun!! Happy PSat! L, Dana

  14. What a cute post Nancy. I love those little retro ladies!!

How fun...a road trip! A few of my sisters and I took a trip down to Ft. Lauderdale with my BIL driving (24 hours straight there!). He allowed us bathroom priviledges every time he gassed up and timed them to 2 minutes max. Needless to say, he was scratched from the following year's trip!

Can't wait to see your pictures. And try eating fruit to stay hydrated!
