Dish Washing Neatly Done

So….I’m working on destashing a lot of stuff in my craft/dining room but the girls are coming and we’re making some Easter crafts. That meant I had to make some room and do some cleaning and organizing. I found this giant bluebird that I had bought to use in The Roost and that was several years ago. Wish I had a dozen more and I could have just hidden all the shelves which is what I used it for – hiding stuff!

I just can’t seem to get the right light to get pictures in this room so these pictures are pretty bad but here’s a picture of the tables ready to work on our Easter craft. The table is all Eastery and meanwhile…

 

the living room is still decorated for Valentine’s day. Putting it all away next week.

 

I wasn’t going to do anything for Pink Saturday but it gave me a chance to just sit down for a while. I’ve done about all that is going to get done except I need to finish up in the kitchen. I’d hate for my little towel to be stretching the truth!

From The Heart

After Phase One of my giant decluttering this week I found my lost jewels. I bought them at Restoration Hardware years ago and lost track of them until this week! It was like Christmas… or Valentine’s!

I got all my Valentines out and this is just part of them. Aren’t they fabulous?


My day started with a lovely breakfast with heart shaped bisquits made by…..


My husband who thinks he looks like “The Most Interesting Man In The World” but I say he looks like Hershel from The Walking Dead! I like his new goatee either way!

Last year I downsized my Valentine decorations

even though they really need to go to a better home where they won’t be stuck in a box March through January!

One of the things I love the most are my valentines that my friends have made and sent.

This year is the first time in a long time that I haven’t been in some sort of Valentine swap.

Last year I made a hanging garland.

In my mind I can collect all the Valentines I want because if they are paper they don’t take up much room.

I also have a collection of old candy boxes.

Love, love, love them.

but in case of fire I think I’d have to grab the Valentine’s that were created by my friends.

I’ve recycled some pictures from previous years because it’s been too dreary to take any decent pictures. I’m sort of surprised at the amount of things I still have after my purge last year!
