Have I ever mentioned my favorite color? Turquoise and any shade thereof. So in the corner of my bedroom I have a little aqua tree surrounded by mostly pink things. Don’t you love pink and aqua? or red and aqua? I suppose any color and aqua looks perfect!

It’s so nice to have a spot where I can put something and actually remember where it is when I need it.
Isn’t this pretty? It my Christmas card from Grace at Pink In The City and it’s just too pink and pretty to put away.
I’ve got things from prior year swaps, a beautiful lace book – a gift from LaVerne – my circle journal, a favorite little lamp and of course my
turquoise tree.
And remember – if you see cobwebs on the wall….this is a non-judgmental blog. The lady of the house (me) and the downstairs maid (also me) has been much too busy catching up on all seasons of Downton Abbey to concern herself with house cleaning.

Dear Upstairs, Downstairs Maid: LOVED that excuse for cobwebs because the same thing has happened here. I'm caught up with DA and just watch the weekly Season 3 episodes.....then I caught up on the world's bloodiest show, The Following...but OMG..does it keep you guessing!! SO...because I've spent so much time watching TV, I was slow to work on my Valentines..but I cranked it up allll day yesterday, and this morning, and will finish them on Sunday and mail them on Monday! That should put them to the recipients before the 14th (I hope). Once I got going, I LOVED it. However, I've been working on them in my kitchen..so the island is totally covered, as is the table in the breakfast nook and I'll hurt ANYBODY who touches anything before I finish my cards!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your little corner and our sweet tree....and all of your special keepsakes! I feel that way about "my office". It's my sanctuary where I have stacks and stacks of books and magazines and notebooks...and MY TV and the computer and an electric throw to keep myself warm and snug while the hubs channel surfs in the other room (drives me NUTS). :)

I find if you do not turn on the lights, you cannot see the cobwebs as good. Pink and turquoise make a great combination.

ReplyDeleteWe love turquoise and aqua here...they are the colors we painted Bebe's room when she was a baby and we love it so much we haven't painted over it yet. Wait...in a few years, I'm sure she will be asking for PURPLE.

Love your little corner :) I have just started watching DA and watched Season 1 last weekend but Netflix did not have season 2 so I am way behind in watching. Love the colors pink and turquoise together!!
