Pink Saturday

I'm sharing a few things that will be going to Bella Blue's.  In spite of the name almost everything is going to have a touch of pink!  The little chest isn't old - I just think it's cute.  The leaf shelf is old and someone had painted it pink and I love it.

I love these Jim Shore figures and they always seem to find a pink home to go to.  The little circus elephant is one of the cutest things he's ever made.  (The picture is a little blurry but Blogger is not letting me upload pictures tonight but I tricked it and got four uploaded through Picasa) 

I have a lot of new linens that will be there like this little piece on this wonderful old chair.

My husband scoffed and shook his head in disbelief when I told the seller I wanted these chairs. A husband of little faith! These chairs are like my babies.  I rescued them from an old Austin garage and spent a whole day cleaning them.  There was dust and dirt and grime,  a little paint and something like tree sap on them but they cleaned up beautifully.(What looks like a spot in the picture is the way the nap is laying.)  The fabric in the channels is a bright pink but of course it doesn't show and they are just so soft and pretty after 50 years!   And some lucky person will find this pair of fabulous faded velvet chairs and give them a good home.  I'm really torn about not keeping them but I have no place left to put them!
